Elle's Studio October 2016 Reveal
Happy Elle's Studio Reveal Day guys! I'm so excited to share my projects and a big announcement with you all. Starting this month, you can now subscribe to Elle's monthly kit! Hooray! I have loved getting these amazing kits every month and this way, you're guaranteed the goods. Also, when you sub you get free shipping on everything else you order on the 10th. Elle answered some of the bigger questions over on this blog post. So head there for more info!
Here's a layout I made using the October Kit, Autumn Wood Veneer, Autumn Acrylic and Halloween Acrylic Stars. I had an idea about a "photo corner" that just didn't pan out. It's what inspired the whole design but I just couldn't make it work, so I scrapped that plan and subbed in patterned paper. I'm so happy I had the guts to do it. I spent a long time trying to make it work. But the page looks so much better without it!
I think the angles on this page turned out so well. I love how they frame that middle design. Also, I was a bit sneaky. I hid even more journaling about a random Times Square proposal (of sorts) behind the leaves card. It folds down to reveal journaling on the "Remember this Moment" card from the October kit.
Also for reveal, I couldn't resist the Happy Halloween collection and all of its fun-ness! I love the bright cheery colors and whimsical designs.
I watched a Netflix comedy special from Iliza Schlesinger a few weeks ago and one of her bits is about your inner party goblin who comes out when you've had a few drinks. I liked the name so I included it on this page about an adult Halloween party. So yeah, pretty appropriate...
The title was fun and easy to make. I stamped it out using the Malia Alphabet Stamp (designed by the lovely Crafty Jen Schow) and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I sprayed Heidi's Color Shine in Bronze over top and rubbed it off the embossed part. Love the messy glittery effect.
I went vertical with this design, which I don't often do. And I love how it turned out! The Happy Halloween Journaling tags made it easy. And again, I'm so in love with the bright colors from this mini collection.
Cheers & Besos,
