All By My Selfie
I know it isn't popular, but I'm still a fan of the double page spread! BUT I don't utilize it for layouts with a lot of photos. Instead, I make double page layouts when I want the design to extend to a second page!
This layout is based off of a Simple Scrapper Sketch (No. 249) and Story Starter from the "Exploration" collection. I wanted to chronicle the lessons I've learned about myself when I've traveled solo, which is something I've done a lot of over the years.
I had so much to say about this topic, so much that I thought it would compromise the design to put it all on the page--even though there are two of them!!
I've never hidden my journaling like this before and I think it's pretty ingenious! I added a brad to the top corner and "adhered" my journaling. You can swivel the text out from behind the layout to read it!
This is a total stash job. I just pulled out things from my travel supplies and colors that I thought would coordinate and had fun! So happy to have used that brilliant gold foiled vellum from Chic tags. The large white die cut is a Just Nick Studios design. And the October Afternoon Travel Log ledge paper ended up being unintentionally perfect!
Cheers & Besos,
