Essential Seven Traveler's Notebook
Yesterday I shared a tag album featuring my Essential Seven for the year. Today, I'm sharing a companion project to it, a traveler's notebook I'm using to reflect and track on my progress for the year.
As you can tell, I'm still so in love with this format! I'm making them to keep track of everything: my scrapbooking assignments, my storytelling, as a weekly memory keeping tool and now my Essential Seven.
This notebook is a bit different than the others. I created it using an 8 1/2 x 12 inch sheet of patterned paper (from the 1canoe2 for American Crafts Hazelwood Collection). I innovated a bit by folding what would have been excess patterned paper over and creating a pocket. The pocket has a specific purpose, which I’ll mention in just a bit.
Something else that’s different about this notebook, is that I covered it with clear contact paper (the stuff you can use to line your drawers) which makes it sturdy and more substantial. I know its going to be used a ton this year and I want to protect it!
I created the inside pages in Word, saved them as a PDF and then created a booklet using an app called Booklet Creator. It’s a $20 app but oh man does it save me so much grief! It collates the pages for you, so you’re able to print the odd pages first, flip them over and print the even pages and then fold. Everything is then in the order that it needs to be. No thinking or mapping out required!
Oh and that pocket? I’m slipping the tag album inside and keeping it all together! Did I mention I’m in love with the whole thing?? And the Traveler’s Notebook obsession lives on!
Cheers & Besos,
